Three San Diego County arts organizations have received California Humanities grants that will help underwrite a series of Shakespeare-themed events by the Old Globe, an oral history project about Burmese refugees and a storytelling exhibit for Arab youth. Since 2016, the California Humanities Project Grant program has disbursed more than 138 awards totaling more than $2.5 million to organizations statewide. Two county nonprofits are among this year's 10 recipients of $25,000 Humanities for All Project Grants: The Old Globe and the Madjal Arab Community Center in El Cajon.
